Inklane began as a way for me to create something of my own, a brand that connected the things I love most. The idea started in 2025 and has come to life in 2026, shaped by a lifelong connection to the ocean, art, and the culture that surrounds them.
I’ve grown up around the water, and it’s always felt like home. The ocean is where I find peace, freedom, fun, and perspective. Whether it was bodyboarding through my teenage years, growing up around boats, or counting the stars by the coast, that connection has never left me. The ocean has always been my place of zen.
Inklane is built around that feeling and around the many different people and lifestyles that are drawn to the sea. It’s inspired by surf culture, Australian coastal living, and the shared values that come with it, including: freedom, openness, creativity, and respect for nature. I’ve always worn surf-style clothing and felt connected to that community, so creating something that reflected it felt natural.
Art has always been another big part of my life, and Inklane is where those two worlds meet. The designs, the ideas, and the name itself are about expressing that connection between the ocean, humour, spirtuality and creativity. Over time, I hope to bring more art into the brand by collaborating with local artists and tattoo artists, keeping everything rooted in community.
Sustainability is also important to me. While I don’t yet have the capital to control every part of production, I’ve intentionally chosen Australian suppliers that share sustainable practices. Starting with print-on-demand allows me to reduce waste and unnecessary logistics, and it’s a step toward doing things better. As Inklane grows, my goal is to move further into the use recycled materials, stronger sustainability practices, and eventually taking more control of the overall process.
I live with my partner, Chris, and our mini-dachshund, Ellie. Chris has been my biggest support; he's my rock, constantly encouraging me to push further and to try new things. Inklane wouldn’t exist without him.
I’m also part of the LGBTQ+ community, and inclusivity is a core value of this brand. Inklane is for everyone who feels a pull toward the ocean, whether that’s waking up at dawn to the sound of seagulls, late-afternoon surfs, BBQ's at the beach with friends, or meditating by the water. It’s about lifestyle, openness, values, and spirituality in all the different ways people experience them.
At its heart, Inklane exists to celebrate the community that loves the ocean; thoughtfully, sustainably, and inclusively.
